Mykola Kolisnyk

Mykola Kolisnyk serves as the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine (Recolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 183-r dated May 13, 2022) since May 13, 2022.

Mr. Kolisnyk holds two higher education degrees; he began his career at foreign commercial enterprises in the oil and gas sector.

For three years, he worked at the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

For the past six years, he has held senior positions in the Ministry of Energy, focusing on implementing European legislation, including EU regulations and directives on natural gas supply security, daily balancing in the natural gas market, and the implementation of technical quality standards for refined oil products. He coordinated cooperation with NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence to enhance the security of critical energy infrastructure.

From May 2018 until his appointment as Deputy Minister, he was in the management of the Directorate for the Oil and Gas Complex and Development of Oil, Natural Gas, and Oil Product Markets.

Mr. Kolisnyk ensured the development of policies for the oil and gas sector, collaborated with oil and gas companies, and implemented projects aimed at increasing gas production and signing production-sharing agreements.

He has successfully completed specialized training abroad, including JICA courses (Japan) on energy planning and management in energy markets; the BP & SOCAR management program in the energy sector at ADA University (Azerbaijan, Baku); and a post-graduate program on natural resources at Duke University (USA), among others.

Wasyl Bodnar

ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland.

Graduated from the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He furthered his expertise in European integration at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations “Clingendael”.

Since 1998, he has served in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, rising through the ranks from Attaché to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine. He worked in the Ukrainian missions in Moscow, Warsaw, and Ankara, served as the Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul, and from 2017 to 2021 held the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Between 2021 to 2024, he served as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey.

In November 2024, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland by Decree of the President of Ukraine.

dr Adam Sikorski

president of the management board of UNIMOT S.A.

Co-founder of the UNIMOT Capital Group (since 1992) – one of the largest private companies on the energy market in Poland. In 2012 he became the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and the main shareholder of PZL Sędziszów S.A. – a leading domestic automotive filter manufacturer, and from 2015 to 2018 r. he assumed the position of the President of the Company’s Management Board. Since August 2018 Adam Sikorski is the President of the Management Board of UNIMOT S.A.

He graduated from the Executive MBA and the Executive Doctor of Business Administration at the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. He is also a graduate of the Department of International Economic Relations at the Polonia Academy in Częstochowa. In 2023, he received the PhD degree of social sciences in the discipline of management and quality  at the Faculty of Management of Czestochowa University of Technology. 

He is personally interested in the subject of personal development and leadership. Since 2015 he has been a certified member of The John Maxwell International Team as a licensed coach, teacher and motivational speaker. He is passionate about aviation and has pilot qualifications.

prof. dr hab. Bogusław Pacek

retired major general, director of the Polish Army Museum

Maj. Gen. (retired) Professor Bogusław Pacek is a renowned strategist and expert in international security and military education reform. He combines extensive military experience with academic and advisory activities, exercising key positions in both Polish and international organisations. Retired major general, former Commander-in-Chief of the Military Police, NATO advisor, and full professor at the Jagiellonian University.

During his more than thirty years of military service (1979–2014), his role was crucial in shaping defense strategies and modernising the Polish armed forces. He held key positions, such as Deputy Commander of the EU Military Operation in Chad and the Central African Republic, Assistant to the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army for Land Forces and Special Forces, and Rector of the National Defense University. His activities had a significant impact on the development of defense cooperation within NATO and the European Union, as well as on the modernisation of training systems for officers.

After completing his military service, he focused on consulting and education, conducting lectures and carrying out research in the area of international security, military strategy and defense policy. As a NATO consultant for military education reform in Ukraine, he had a key role in the development and implementation of modern training programmes as part of NATO DEEP (Defence Education Enhancement Programme). He was also a member of the Senior Advisory Council of the PfP Consortium, an international organisation of research institutes and military academies from over 80 countries.

He has received numerous prestigious awards for his activities and contribution to security and military education, including the Commander’s Cross of the Order of the Military Cross, the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Officer’s Cross of the National Order of Merit (France). In 2019, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Ukrainian Air Force University in recognition of his contribution to the development of military education and international cooperation in the field of defense.

Mark Brzezinski

ambassador of the United States to Poland (2021–2024)

Ambassador Mark Brzezinski, PhD (retired) is a renowned diplomat, expert in geopolitics, energy security and infrastructure investment. As US ambassador to Poland (2021-2024), he played a key role in strengthening the Polish-US strategic partnership, supporting, among others, the decision by Westinghouse and Bechtel to build Poland’s first nuclear power plant. His actions also contributed to closer military and investment cooperation between Poland and the US, symbolized by the establishment of the first permanent US military base in Poland.

From 2011 to 2015, he served as U.S. ambassador to Sweden, where he was actively involved in developing transatlantic cooperation in the areas of renewable energy and industrial investment. His support was crucial to Volvo’s decision to invest in a new plant in the US.

In President Barack Obama’s administration, he was executive director of the Arctic Executive Steering Committee, where he co-wrote global regulations for sustainable resource exploitation and climate policy. Previously, from 1999 to 2001, he served on the US National Security Council under President Bill Clinton, first as director for Russia and Eurasia, and then as director for the Balkans. During this period, he worked on key aspects of US policy towards Russia, stabilization of the Balkan region after the Kosovo conflict, and analysis of geopolitical tensions affecting the energy sector.

In the private sector, he served as managing director at Makena Capital Management, where he specialized in ESG investments and infrastructure projects. He currently heads Brzezinski Global Strategies, advising global companies on energy and geopolitical strategies.

He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, Oxford University and the University of Virginia. Member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), awarded the Royal Order of the Polar Star by the King of Sweden.

Vince Beiser

journalist and author of “Power Metal” and “The World in a Grain”, reporter from over 100 countries

Vince Beiser is an award-winning journalist and author. prof. Karl Rose

expert and senior executive in the global energy sector

Professor Karl Rose is a recognized expert in corporate strategy, energy transition and risk management, with more than 35 years of experience in the global fuel and energy sector. He was with Royal Dutch Shell for more than 25 years, where as the group’s chief strategist, he was responsible for the development of long-term strategy, investment risk analysis and project portfolio management.

In 2010-2017, he served as Senior Director for Energy Policy and Scenarios at the World Energy Council, leading a team of international experts and developing strategies for global sector leaders. Then, as Strategy Advisor of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) (2017-2022), he was also responsible for the development of new energy technologies, including hydrogen, low-carbon fuels and renewables, and oversaw investments of more than $40 billion.

Since 2010, he has been teaching strategic management and applied business economics at the Karl Franzens University of Graz, Austria. He is chairperson of the supervisory board of Energie Steiermark AG and was a member of the supervisory board of OMV AG until 2024, where he headed the portfolio and strategic projects committee.

prof. Jim Mazurkiewicz

president of the Polish-American Chamber of Commerce in Texas (PolCham TX), expert in leadership and international academic-business collaboration

Professor Jim Mazurkiewicz is a respected expert in leadership, education and international academic/business cooperation. He is a professor at Texas A&M University and Director of the Leadership Programs at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, he has been actively involved in the development of US and global agribusiness for more than four decades. 

Since 1998, he has headed the prestigious Governor Dolph Briscoe Jr., Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership (TALL) program, which prepares future leaders of the agribusiness sector in Texas. In addition, he runs the San Antonio Livestock Exposition – Leadership Extension (SALE-LE) and the TALL Emerging Leaders International Exchange Program, supporting management and education workforce development in agriculture. Previously, he worked for 20 years as an agricultural extension agent in four Texas counties – Guadalupe, Knox, Ector and Brazos – where he actively supported local farmers and rural communities by implementing modern educational solutions. 

He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a doctorate in animal science, and Texas Tech University, where he earned a master’s degree in agricultural education. His research and teaching activities focus on leadership development in the agricultural sector, implementing innovative education methods and building international academic cooperation focusing on food and energy security. 

He is actively involved in industry and community organizations. He serves as president of the Brazos Valley Fair and Rodeo, chairperson of the Agriculture Council of the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce, and President of the management board of the Polish American Chamber of Commerce in Texas. As president of the Polish American Council of Texas, he has worked for years to promote Polish cultural heritage in the US and develop economic cooperation between Poland and Texas.  In addition, he is President of the Warsaw Freedom Institute- DC, board member of the Polonia Heritage Foundation, academic advisor to the Texas A&M Polish Association and board member of the Polish Heritage Center in Panna Maria.  

He has been recognized for his work with many prestigious awards and honors, including an Honorary Doctorate from SGGW in 2021, the Regents Fellow Award Texas A&M University System (2012), the Polish Presidential Medal of Merit (2016), the Medal of Honor from the Polish Minister of Agriculture (2011) and the Outstanding International Leadership Program Director Award (2010). Also recognized by the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce, Polish American Chamber of Commerce in Texas, Epsilon Sigma Phi and Texas AgriLife Extension for contributions to agriculture education and agribusiness. 

Michael Kellner

member of the German Bundestag (Alliance 90/The Greens), former parliamentary state secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (2022–2025)

Michael Kellner is a Member of the German Bundestag (Alliance 90/The Greens) representing the electoral constituency Uckermark – Barnim I since 2021. In this legislative period, he is speaker for energy policy of the parliamentary group of Alliance 90/The Greens and head of the working group for economy and energy.

From 2022 till the election 2025 Michael Kellner has been serving as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. In his capacity, he was also the Commissioner for small and medium-sized enterprises and Commissioner for cultural and creative industries.

Before getting elected to the German Bundestag, Michael Kellner was the green party’s Secretary General from 2013 until January 2022. During this time, he was coordinating the national election campaigns for the green party in 2017, 2021 and the German green’s European Parliament election campaign in 2019. Prior to that, he worked as political advisor to the green Member of Parliament Frithjof Schmidt and was the spokesperson of the green party’s working group on “Peace and International Affairs”. From 2004 to 2009, Michael Kellner worked as chief of staff to Claudia Roth in her capacity as co-chair of the German party Alliance 90/The Greens. His engagement with the German greens began when he became a member of the party in 1997.

Besides his positions in the Bundestag and the German government, Michael Kellner is Member of the trade union ver.di and the Heinrich Böll Foundation. He grew up in Gera in Thuringia and holds a diploma in Political Science from the University of Potsdam and also studied in Canterbury (UK) and East Lansing (USA). He lives in Berlin and in the Uckermark with his wife and two children.

Artem Kuyun

expert in oil and gas market research, Consulting Group A-95 (Ukraine)

Artem Kuyun earned his higher education at the National Technical University of Ukraine “KPI,” earning a degree in management. He has been working in the oil and gas market research field since 2004. In 2008, he joined the newly established company “Consulting Group A-95”, which is a leading authority in industry analytics and journalism.

Among the main areas of activity are energy market research, industrial consulting and PR, and organizing large-scale industry events in Ukraine. Since 2022, “A-95” has been hosting the Petroleum Ukraine conference, one of the largest events in the country focused on the motor fuel market.

During the acute fuel shortage caused by the full-scale invasion, he actively participated in the government working group tasked with overcoming the supply crisis.

He manages the program supporting the Defense Forces of Ukraine, led by “A-95 Consulting Group.
